About Us
Sydney 7/11/03
Sydney, my sweet little baby girl  was going to be mine ever since she
came OOP on July 11, 2003. I actually got to help raise her and her
twin brother Seamore since their Mom had a very bad pouch infection
and was unable to provide enough milk for her joeys. She's an
extremely mellow little girl who likes to break into my dresser drawers
to sleep. Sydney has also developed pouch problems and once a
month her pouch will swell up & need cleaned. Tho she doesn't like it,
my baby girl is very good at taking her medicine & letting us help her
keep her pouch clean.
Sydney spent many happy years living with Simon and her brother
Seamore.  After they crossed over the Rainbow Bridge she moved in
with Baxter, Bailey, Brodie and Bonnie.  Now Nicky has joined them to
add to the colony
Illusion 6/7/10
My beautiful little IllyLou.  You are such a free spirit.  You love to bounce and run
on your wheel.  You also have your "daddy" Baxter wound around your little
finger.  You enjoy teasing the others almost as much as you love cuddling with
them.  You can be a crabby little girl and don't like me reaching out to touch you,
but you do enjoy sneaking up on me to climb on me and nibble.
Mr. B  (adopted 7/10)
Mr B, I adopted you and your girl Callie from a Mommy who didn't have time for
you any more.  You came with the name of Batman, but you seemed more
dignified than that so I gave you the name Mr B.  instead.  You are a crabby little
dude, and don't want to be handled, but you are getting more accustomed to
having me touch and scritch on you.  After losing your girl in September of 2011,
I introduced you to your new family.  You are now very happy sharing a cage with
Sydney, Baxter and Illusion.
Happy & Gary (adopted 10/07)
My Happy Girl is a rescue who came to me along with her
cagemates Bashful and Gary when her owner was sent to
a military base out of state and couldn't take them with him.
Prior to that she had lived with Shelle who rescued her and
several other gliders.  Due to this, we do not know exactly
how old Happy is or her exact history.  She is a sweet,
petite girl who has a tail she carries curled over her back.
She loves to run on her wheel and adores rings.  She will
work all night collecting rings that she carries to her pouch
to make a nest out of.
Gary was not a part of the colony rescued by Shelle, he was
a lone glider for several years before being introduced to
Happy and Bashful.  He adores his little girl and enjoys
playing in my room on the ceiling net.  He also adores
eating his wormies and gets very excited when he sees
them.

Emmy Kitty

Miss Emmy Kitty, who came to me from the humane society. She
filled the void left when my Snuggles crossed over the bridge.
She is a petite little girl who refuses to wear a kitty collar, she'll
take every single one off and hide it. We've managed to
compromise tho, since she likes to wear bandanas. She's also a
very smart little girl who loves doing tricks. She knows how to sit,
lay down, roll over, sit up, stand on her back feet, turn in circles,
tap me with her paw, jump through hoops and walk balance
beams when I ask her to.  She is a chatty little kitty who adores
the gliders.  She loves to lay on top of the big cage so long as
the gliders are sleeping.  When awake she avoids the cage
cause they grab her toe fur.  She also wants to sneek into my
room during glider playtime so she can watch them.  She doesn't
want to chase or play with them, but she does enjoy watching.
Cloe Kitty

Miss Cloe came to us after Katie crossed the Rainbow
Bridge.  She had been in a home with 2 other cats and
her person just didn't have the time for all of them.
She is a big fluffy girl with a super big heart.  She tries
her best to convince Emmy to play with her and is
gradually losing some of her tubbiness.  She also
enjoys watching the gliders but seems to know that
they are off limits for playing.  Brodie has even jumped
within 2 inches of her nose and swated her and she
hasn't blinked an eye or lifted a foot.
Baxter adopted 9/05
Baxter and his twin Brother Bailey came to me in September of 05 when they were about
1 1/2 years old.  Baxter, aka Phloofy,  is a fluffy boy and is more laid back than his
brother was.  He is not that brave or daring and  is not adept at gliding, but has a sweet
generous heart and loves to take care of his colony.  During Playtime, Baxter's favorite
activity is trying to get into Mom's shirt to snuggle.  Baxter is sweet and caring and no
matter how much he enjoys a treat he is always willing to share it with his family.   You
have had to have several teeth removed including your incisors.  This gives you a
perpetual smile, but doesn't stop you from eating your favorite treats.  Then in 2011 you
had to have a lump removed from your chest.  You healed up well and continue to care
for your family.
